Held at the ING cafe Pixel hack Day aimed to bring together the creative talent of Toronto, mainly software developers and designers, to create photo related hacks — small but functional apps that use one or more of the photo APIs. I was invited to document the event and edit together a short 2min video.

I am without a doubt, a self-confessed burgerholic. Along with many others, I was thrilled to hear that in celebration of their one-year anniversary, the GridTO is sponsoring Burger Week from May 30th to June 2nd. The deliciousness culminates on June 3rd with Burger Day at the Artscape Wychwood Barns, where all 18 participating restaurants will be preparing sliders.

I visited Burger Brats, Holly Chuck, and The Stockyards with my new pico flex dolly and a Canon EF-S 60mm f2.8 USM Macro lens, to cinematize this celebration.

I will be the barns on Sunday, and I hope you will be too.

On the weekend I taped Bill King and friends at the Royal Cinema. Most of the evening featured songs from his new album Gloryland. It was a privilege to be around such talented artists. I am thrilled that Stephen Smith from mycompassstv invited me to film the event with him. I really look forward to working with Bill and Steve in the studio in the upcoming months. Here is a video of Bill and Jackie Richardson performing “I’ll Chase that Rainbow”. It is a beautiful song.

Mark and Ann from Aesthetec Studio asked me to document their work on display at the TIFF Kids digiPlaySpace in April. Here are the videos they put together with the footage I shot. Ann did a nice job with the editing. It’s inspiring to work with them as they are always working on such innovative and creative projects.

I was commissioned by Mark and Ann from Aesthetec Studio to assit them with one of their most challenging tasks – explaining what they do. Over the past six months I have been filming them at the ir studio and on location. The film features Aesthetec’s work from the new Calgary Science Centre (Telus Spark), ZATAOMM dance projects, thier Nuit Blanche collaboration with Dashing Collective, and the Toronto Mini Maker Faire.
